  • Screenshots & Investigations: Messages, photos, and profile content can be screenshotted and used in military or civilian investigations. Nothing here is guaranteed private — your command, military investigators (CID, NCIS, OSI, CGIS, NGB, JAG), or a court may see it.
  • Criminal & Career-Ending Conduct: Pursuing relationships involving minors, non-consensual conduct, or harassment is a UCMJ violation and crime — resulting in immediate account termination and referral to DoD authorities and civilian law enforcement.

The ordering reflects the owner's DoD-guidance rationale; it does not imply DoD endorsement or change eligibility.

The .mil address is never stored, and no messages are ever sent to it; it confirms domain access only—not identity, rank, unit, component, or length of service. Verification confirms military status only and is not a guarantee of identity, safety, or anyone's exact rank, unit, or service history. BattleBuddies does not run criminal-history or sex-offender checks; military-status verification is not a background check.
