Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before creating an account, accessing, or using BattleBuddies. By creating an account, selecting “I agree,” accessing, or using BattleBuddiesDating.com or any related application, feature, or service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

1. About BattleBuddies

BattleBuddies is a private dating and social connection platform operated by 13 Foxtrot, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company, doing business as BattleBuddies.

In these Terms, “BattleBuddies,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean 13 Foxtrot, LLC, doing business as BattleBuddies.

BattleBuddies is designed for verified active-duty military members, Reservists, National Guard members, and veterans. The platform may include military-status verification, military-focused matching filters, messaging, profile content, manual location search, subscription services, and other features made available from time to time.

BattleBuddies is a private commercial service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, authorized by, or endorsed by the United States Government, the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, the National Guard Bureau, any Reserve Component, or any other government agency.

The service is operated through BattleBuddiesDating.com and related pages, applications, and services, including:

2. Age and Geographic Availability

2.1 Minimum Age

You must be at least 18 years old to use BattleBuddies.

By creating an account or using the service, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 18 years old;
You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; and
You are not prohibited from using the service under applicable law.

BattleBuddies is not intended for anyone under 18. We may suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe the account belongs to a person under 18.

2.2 Geographic Availability

BattleBuddies is offered only to residents of the United States.

By creating an account or using the service, you represent and warrant that you reside in the United States. We do not offer the service to users outside the United States.

If you choose to access the service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.

The minimum age for BattleBuddies remains 18.

3. Eligibility and Military Verification

To use BattleBuddies, you must:

Be at least 18 years old;
Be a resident of the United States;
Be an active-duty member, Reservist, National Guard member, or veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces;
Provide accurate, truthful, and current information;
Complete any verification process required for the features you want to use;
Not be prohibited from receiving services under applicable law; and
Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

3.1 Ineligible Users

BattleBuddies is intended exclusively for eligible military members and veterans.

Civilians and family members, including spouses, children, parents, siblings, and other relatives who do not independently qualify as eligible service members or veterans, may not create or use an account.

We may terminate an account belonging to an ineligible person without a refund, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

3.2 Verification Methods

BattleBuddies completes military verification primarily through VerifyPass (including VerifyPass OAuth verification) or a similar third-party verification service.

As an optional, secondary verification path available only for members who prefer it, BattleBuddies may allow verification through an official .mil email address (domain confirmation only). The .mil route is never required to join, and VerifyPass remains the primary verification method as described below.

BattleBuddies may also verify eligibility through:

Additional documentation or review requested by BattleBuddies; or
A self-reported account subject to a pending review.

We may change verification methods, providers, or requirements at any time.

`.mil` Email Verification — Domain Confirmation Only (Secondary Method)

If you choose .mil email verification, you understand and agree that this optional secondary route is never required to join:

One-time domain confirmation only. .mil email verification is used solely to confirm that you have access to an email address on a .mil domain at the time of verification. It is not a background check and is not an independent certification of military status.
No storage / no messages to .mil. The .mil address is never stored by BattleBuddies, and no messages are ever sent to a .mil email address, including marketing, match notifications, account emails, security emails, or other messages.
Limited confirmation. The check confirms domain access only—not identity, rank, unit, component, or length of service.
Your responsibility and representations. By choosing .mil verification, you represent and warrant that the .mil email address is your own, that you are authorized to use it, and that your use of that address for verification complies with your service branch’s acceptable-use rules and email policies.
Affirmative acknowledgment required. You must affirmatively acknowledge the above (for example, via an acknowledgment checkbox) as part of the .mil verification flow.

Verification confirms military status only and is not a guarantee of identity, safety, or anyone's exact rank, unit, or service history. BattleBuddies reserves the right to request additional proof of military service at any time, and to deny verification, suspend, or terminate accounts that cannot be verified.

3.3 Pending or Self-Reported Accounts

A profile marked “Pending,” “Self-Reported,” or with a similar designation has not completed full military verification.

A pending or self-reported account may have limited access to matching, messaging, search, or other features. A pending designation is not a verification badge and must not be represented as proof of verified military status.

We may request additional information, deny verification, suspend an account, or terminate an account if military affiliation cannot be confirmed.

4. Verification Limits and Disclaimer

BattleBuddies uses verification measures intended to help confirm a user’s connection to the military community. However, no verification system is foolproof.

A verified designation generally means that the account passed an available verification process associating the account with an eligible military affiliation at the time of verification. It does not independently confirm every fact stated by the user.

For clarity, .mil email verification (if offered) confirms only access to a .mil domain at the time of verification. The address is never stored, no messages are ever sent to it, and the route is optional and never required to join. It does not confirm identity, rank, unit, component, or length of service, and it is not an independent certification of military status. Verification confirms military status only and is not a guarantee of identity, safety, or anyone's exact rank, unit, or service history.

Verification does not necessarily confirm:

That the person currently controlling the account is the person who completed verification;
The user’s current duty status;
Rank, unit, MOS, AFSC, rating, job, decorations, or military history;
The user’s identity beyond the information reasonably available through the verification method;
The user’s marital status, age, relationship status, or intentions;
Criminal history, civil litigation history, restraining orders, or registered-sex-offender status;
Whether the user remains eligible under current military regulations; or
Whether any profile information, photograph, message, or statement is accurate.

Do not rely solely on a verification badge or a user’s claimed rank, unit, military history, or identity. Use independent judgment and take reasonable safety precautions before sharing information or meeting anyone.

We may request additional documentation, revoke a verification designation, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate an account if information appears false, outdated, fraudulent, or misleading.

Romance Scam Warning

Military members and veterans are frequently targeted by romance scammers who use false military profiles, stolen photographs, deployment stories, or requests for financial assistance.

Warning signs may include:

Requests for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, loans, or financial assistance;
Claims that money is needed for leave, travel, medical care, customs, communications, or deployment-related expenses;
Refusal to video chat or meet safely in person;
Pressure to move conversations off the platform quickly;
Rapid declarations of love or emotional dependence;
Requests for account credentials, financial information, or sensitive documents; or
Stories that seem inconsistent or designed to create urgency.

Never send money or financial information to someone you met through BattleBuddies. Report suspected fraud through the in-app reporting tools or by contacting safety@battlebuddiesdating.com. Suspected fraud may also be reported to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov or the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov.

5. Background Checks and Personal Safety

BattleBuddies does not currently perform criminal background checks on users.

Military verification is not a criminal background check and does not screen for:

Criminal convictions;
Pending criminal charges;
Registered sex-offender status;
Restraining orders;
Domestic-violence history;
Civil lawsuits;
Bankruptcy;
Professional discipline; or
Other legal or personal history.

Verification is not a guarantee of safety. Users may use false identities, misrepresent information, possess valid credentials obtained improperly, or engage in harmful conduct.

You are solely responsible for your safety when interacting with other users online or offline. We strongly recommend that you:

Communicate through BattleBuddies before sharing personal contact information;
Video chat before meeting in person;
Meet in a public place;
Tell a trusted person where you are going and who you are meeting;
Arrange your own transportation;
Avoid sharing your home address, financial information, military schedule, deployment details, or sensitive personal information;
Never send money or financial assistance to a person you met through the platform; and
Review the Safe Dating Tips before meeting anyone.

If BattleBuddies adds background-check functionality in the future, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy as appropriate. Any background-check service may be subject to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other applicable laws.

6. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.

You agree to:

Provide accurate, truthful, and current information;
Keep your profile information reasonably up to date;
Use a current photograph of yourself as your primary profile photograph;
Maintain only one account unless we authorize otherwise;
Not share your account with another person;
Keep your password and login credentials secure;
Notify us promptly of unauthorized account access; and
Cooperate with reasonable security or verification requests.

Report suspected unauthorized account access to support@battlebuddiesdating.com.

You may not create an account using another person’s identity, military credentials, photograph, email address, or personal information.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Impersonate any person, service member, veteran, military unit, command, government official, or organization;
Misrepresent your identity, age, military affiliation, rank, unit, duty status, service history, marital status, or relationship intentions;
Upload or transmit photographs, videos, messages, or other content that do not belong to you or that you do not have permission to use;
Upload or transmit child sexual abuse material, sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, or illegal content;
Upload or transmit pornography, graphic violence, or content that promotes criminal activity;
Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, abuse, exploit, or endanger another person;
Engage in hate speech or discriminatory conduct;
Solicit money, gifts, loans, gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers, or financial favors;
Use the service for prostitution, escorting, commercial sexual activity, or human trafficking;
Use the service for commercial solicitation, spam, advertising, affiliate marketing, or multilevel marketing without our permission;
Use the service to collect, harvest, publish, or distribute another person’s personal information without consent;
Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, scrape, crawl, hack, probe, or disrupt the service;
Introduce malware, viruses, harmful code, or other security threats;
Circumvent verification, access controls, subscription controls, or other technical safeguards;
Use BattleBuddies to violate applicable law, military regulations, or court orders;
Represent any profile, message, or communication as official, authorized, or endorsed by the U.S. military or a government agency; or
Encourage or assist another person to violate these Terms.

Violations may result in removal of content, restricted access, suspension, permanent termination, preservation of records, and referral to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities where legally required or permitted.

8. Military Conduct and Regulatory Compliance

Active-duty service members, Reservists, National Guard members, and veterans may be subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, service-branch regulations, Department of Defense directives, National Guard Bureau policies, and command-specific rules.

These rules may address:

Fraternization;
Officer-enlisted relationships;
Instructor-trainee relationships;
Relationships involving supervisory authority;
Conflicts of interest;
Adultery or conduct-related offenses;
Social-media use;
Disclosure of military information;
Conduct unbecoming or other standards of conduct; and
Relationships formed during active orders, inactive duty training, or other military status.

These requirements vary by branch, component, rank, duty status, and command.

BattleBuddies does not provide legal, military, command, or career advice. You are solely responsible for determining whether your conduct or relationships comply with rules applicable to you.

You agree not to use BattleBuddies to pursue a relationship or conduct that violates applicable military regulations, law, or command policy. If you have questions, consult your chain of command, JAG legal assistance office, or a licensed attorney.

BattleBuddies is not responsible for military, disciplinary, administrative, career, or legal consequences resulting from your use of the platform.

9. No Professional Advice

BattleBuddies is a social connection and dating platform. It is not a professional services provider.

Nothing on BattleBuddies, including these Terms, constitutes:

Legal advice;
Military or JAG advice;
Medical advice;
Mental health counseling or therapy;
Crisis intervention;
Financial, investment, or tax advice;
Career advice; or
A recommendation that you pursue or avoid a particular relationship.

For military legal questions, consult a JAG Corps legal assistance office or licensed attorney.

If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, contact the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988 and pressing 1, texting 838255, or visiting veteranscrisisline.net. In an emergency, call 911 or contact local emergency services.

10. Anti-Catfish, Anti-Fraud, and Romance Scam Warning

BattleBuddies has a zero-tolerance policy for catfishing, fraud, stolen military identity, and financial exploitation.

We may permanently terminate accounts involving:

Impersonation of a service member or veteran;
Fake or stolen photographs;
Falsified military status;
Falsified rank, unit, or service history;
Financial scams;
Romance scams;
Identity theft;
Account fraud;
Trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation; or
Other conduct that threatens users or the integrity of the platform.

We may use automated and manual review processes to identify potentially fraudulent profiles. These processes may not identify every fraudulent account.

If a user asks you for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking information, passwords, or sensitive documents, stop communicating and report the account to safety@battlebuddiesdating.com.

11. Reporting and Cooperation with Investigations

Users may report harassment, fraud, impersonation, threats, abuse, suspected trafficking, or other misconduct through the in-app reporting function or by contacting safety@battlebuddiesdating.com.

BattleBuddies may review reports and take action consistent with its policies, available information, applicable law, and operational capabilities. We do not promise to investigate every report, reach a particular conclusion, or take a particular action.

Lawful Requests and Military Investigations

BattleBuddies will cooperate with valid legal process and lawful requests from government, military, and law-enforcement authorities. We may disclose information or report conduct where we reasonably believe disclosure is legally required, legally permitted, necessary to protect users or the public, or appropriate to respond to an emergency.

Depending on the circumstances, relevant investigative bodies may include:

Army Criminal Investigation Division;
Naval Criminal Investigative Service;
Air Force Office of Special Investigations;
Coast Guard Investigative Service;
National Guard Bureau or applicable state National Guard investigative authorities;
Judge Advocate General offices;
Local, state, or federal law enforcement; and
Other competent authorities.

We do not undertake to proactively investigate or report every allegation of “conduct unbecoming,” every potential UCMJ issue, or every violation of a military policy. We may preserve records and cooperate with lawful investigations involving conduct occurring on or facilitated through the platform.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or contact military police or local law enforcement.

12. Rank, Branch, Uniform, and OPSEC Guidance

12.1 User-Entered Information

Unless expressly identified as verified, rank, branch, unit, MOS, AFSC, rating, duty station, decorations, and similar profile information is entered by the user and is not independently verified by BattleBuddies.

By entering such information, you represent that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

12.2 Personal Expression

Profile content, including rank, branch names, insignia, uniform photographs, unit names, and personal statements, represents the individual user’s personal expression.

It is not an official communication or endorsement by:

The United States Government;
The Department of Defense;
The Department of Veterans Affairs;
The National Guard Bureau;
Any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces;
Any Reserve Component;
Any military command, installation, or unit; or
Any federal, state, or local government agency.

12.3 Impersonation

You may not claim a rank, unit, MOS, AFSC, rating, military role, decoration, or service history that you do not hold or have not held.

You may not impersonate a service member, veteran, military unit, command, government official, or military organization.

Confirmed military impersonation may result in permanent termination and referral to appropriate authorities where legally required or permitted.

12.4 Uniform Photographs and OPSEC

Users may upload uniform photographs, but uniform photographs may create operational-security risks.

Photographs may reveal:

Unit patches;
Name tapes;
Rank insignia;
Base or installation locations;
Deployment locations;
Tactical equipment;
Sensitive facilities;
Unit movements; or
Other information that may create a security concern.

BattleBuddies recommends cropping or blurring unit identifiers, name tapes, and location-identifying background elements before uploading photographs.

We may remove photographs that appear to create an OPSEC, safety, privacy, or security risk, without prior notice.

12.5 Manual Location Search

BattleBuddies may provide manual location search by city, state, or ZIP code. BattleBuddies does not represent that manual location information is exact or current.

The platform is designed not to use GPS tracking or geofencing for ordinary location search, but no technical system is risk-free. Do not include sensitive duty-station, deployment, movement, or operational information in your profile or messages.

13. Prohibited Commercial Sexual Activity and Human Trafficking

BattleBuddies may not be used for:

Prostitution;
Escorting;
Paid sexual services;
Sexual solicitation;
Commercial sexual activity;
Human trafficking;
Sex trafficking;
Recruiting, transporting, harboring, obtaining, or soliciting a person for commercial sex; or
Facilitating or promoting any of the above.

A violation may result in immediate and permanent account termination, removal of content, preservation of records, and referral to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities where legally required or permitted.

BattleBuddies will cooperate with lawful requests and investigations involving human trafficking, sex trafficking, exploitation, or commercial sexual activity.

If you suspect trafficking or immediate danger, contact 911 or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text 233733.

14. Service Availability — As-Is and As-Available

BattleBuddies is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We disclaim all warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of:

Merchantability;
Fitness for a particular purpose;
Title;
Non-infringement;
Accuracy;
Availability;
Security; and
Reliability.

We do not promise that:

The service will be available at all times;
The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
Errors will be corrected within a particular timeframe;
The service will meet your expectations;
Any match, conversation, date, relationship, or outcome will result;
User profiles, photographs, statements, or military information are accurate;
Content will not be lost or altered; or
The service will be free from viruses, malware, or other harmful components.

You use the service at your own risk. Any interaction, meeting, date, or relationship formed through BattleBuddies is entirely your responsibility.

15. User Content

“User Content” means photographs, videos, profile information, biographical information, messages, reviews, comments, audio, and other material that you upload, submit, transmit, or make available through BattleBuddies.

15.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of User Content that you own or have the legal right to use.

You represent and warrant that:

You own or control the necessary rights in your User Content;
You have permission to upload photographs, videos, and other content depicting other people;
Your User Content does not violate another person’s privacy, publicity, intellectual-property, or other rights;
Your User Content is not unlawful or misleading; and
Your User Content does not contain sensitive military or operational information that you are not authorized to disclose.

15.2 Limited License to BattleBuddies

By uploading User Content, you grant 13 Foxtrot, LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, format, display, transmit, and make your User Content available solely as necessary to:

Operate and provide BattleBuddies;
Display your profile to users according to your settings;
Deliver messages and other communications;
Provide customer support;
Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service;
Enforce these Terms; and
Comply with legal obligations.

This license ends when you delete the applicable User Content or your account, except to the extent the content is retained in backups, is necessary for legal compliance, relates to an investigation, or remains in communications or content shared with other users.

We do not sell or license your personal photographs or profile content to third parties for their independent marketing purposes. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Intellectual Property

16.1 BattleBuddies Property

Except for User Content, 13 Foxtrot, LLC owns or licenses all rights in and to BattleBuddies, including:

The BattleBuddiesDating.com website;
Applications and software;
Platform design and functionality;
Databases and systems;
Matching technology;
Text, graphics, interfaces, and documentation;
BattleBuddies names, logos, trade dress, and trademarks;
BattleBuddies branding and marketing materials; and
Aggregated or anonymized data derived from use of the service.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, lease, license, reverse-engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from BattleBuddies or its intellectual property without our prior written permission.

“BattleBuddies” and related names, logos, and marks are owned by or licensed to 13 Foxtrot, LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use them.

16.2 Aggregated and Anonymized Data

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may create, use, analyze, disclose, and commercialize aggregated or anonymized information that does not reasonably identify an individual.

We will not treat information as aggregated or anonymized if it can reasonably be used to identify you.

17. Subscriptions, Billing, and Plans

BattleBuddies offers a free tier and optional paid subscription tiers. Features, limits, and availability may change from time to time. The specific plan, price, and terms shown at the time of purchase control.

17.1 FREE (Free tier) — $0

FREE is $0 and always free. No payment card is required.

FREE may include:

Verified military profile via VerifyPass, the primary method; an optional secondary .mil route is available only for members who prefer it and is never required to join. The .mil address is never stored, no messages are ever sent to it, and it confirms domain access only—not identity, rank, unit, component, or length of service. Verification confirms military status only and is not a guarantee of identity, safety, or anyone's exact rank, unit, or service history.

Advanced filters: branch, deployment status, base / duty station, marital status
Priority visibility in browse (surfaced higher in results)
Unlimited messaging with up to 6 new matches per month
Optional extra message packs as a separate purchase:
- $7.99 for 3
- $14.99 for 6
- $19.99 for 15

17.3 PREMIUM+ — $34.99 per month, $95.99 for 3 months, $174.99 for 6 months, or $299.99 annually

PREMIUM+ includes everything in PREMIUM, plus:

7 profile photos (1 profile photo + 6 additional)
Unlimited video chat with matches (live and ongoing, exclusive to PREMIUM+)
Priority matching (weighted ahead in the matching pool)
Ability to see who has viewed your profile
Unlimited messaging, no match cap

17.4 FOUNDING-MEMBER OFFER (first 100 members only)

BattleBuddies may offer a founding-member program for the first 100 members only.

Offer benefit. The first 100 BattleBuddies members receive 30 days of free PREMIUM access, a unique founding-member badge displayed on their profile, and eligibility for future membership discounts and launch bonuses.
Strict eligibility limit. Eligibility is strictly limited to the first 100 members to register and verify. We reserve the right to determine eligibility in our reasonable discretion (including to address duplicate accounts, fraud, or verification issues), and to modify or end the program at any time.
No card required for the free period. No payment card is required for the FREE tier or for the 30-day founding-member PREMIUM period.
End of free period — what happens. After the 30-day free PREMIUM period ends:
- If you have not set up a paid membership scheduled to begin after the free period, your account will automatically revert to the FREE tier and you will not be charged. Reverting to FREE does not delete your account.
- If you have set up a paid membership scheduled to begin after the free period, your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee when the free period ends and the paid membership begins.

17.5 3-Day Free Trial (Optional)

BattleBuddies may offer an optional 3-day free trial that provides a short introductory experience of the PREMIUM membership at no cost for three (3) days.

Payment method required to start the trial. A payment method is required to start the 3-day free trial.
Automatic conversion; no charge if you cancel in time. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the three (3) days, and you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method for the price of the paid plan you selected (PREMIUM or PREMIUM+) at the renewal interval you selected. You may cancel at any time during the 3-day free trial and you will not be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
Trial is optional; FREE plan requires no payment info. The trial is optional. If you do not want to try a paid plan, you may sign up for the FREE plan without entering any payment information and you will not be charged.

17.6 Auto-Renewal / Billing Disclosures (Paid Plans)

PAID SUBSCRIPTIONS RENEW AUTOMATICALLY UNTIL CANCELLED.

Renewal. PREMIUM and PREMIUM+ subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, 3-month, 6-month, or annual, as applicable to the plan you select) and continue until cancelled.
Charges; amount depends on plan selected. The renewal amount and renewal interval will be displayed clearly before you complete your purchase. Your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each renewal period at the then-applicable rate, plus applicable taxes. Checkout charges only the price of the plan you select (for example, PREMIUM at $24.99 per month or $64.99 for a 3-month bundle, or PREMIUM+ at $34.99 per month, $95.99 for 3 months, $174.99 for 6 months, or $299.99 annually). No other amount is charged.
Affirmative consent. Before any paid subscription starts (including any conversion from a free or discounted period), you must take an affirmative action consenting to the recurring charge, the price, the renewal interval, and the cancellation terms. A pre-checked box does not constitute affirmative consent where prohibited by law.
Renewal / pre-conversion reminders. Where required by law (or where we choose to do so), we will send a renewal or conversion reminder before any free or discounted period (including a free trial) converts to a paid subscription.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time through account settings or by emailing support@battlebuddiesdating.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues through the end of the then-current billing period.

17.7 Payment Processing

Payments may be processed by Stripe, Inc. or another third-party payment processor identified at checkout.

We do not generally store your full payment-card number. Payment processors may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.

You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your selected payment method for applicable subscription fees, taxes, renewals, and other charges you authorize.

If payment is declined, expires, reversed, or cannot be processed, we may suspend paid features, downgrade your account to the FREE tier, or terminate the subscription.

17.8 VIP / Partner Invite Codes and “Lifetime” Offers

BattleBuddies may offer VIP access, partner invite codes, coupons, or other promotional offers that provide discounted pricing, temporary access to paid tiers, or other benefits.

Unless the applicable offer states otherwise, VIP or partner invite codes are:

Non-transferable;
Limited to the person or account that activates the code;
Subject to eligibility requirements;
Not redeemable for cash; and
Not valid if obtained through unauthorized means.

If an offer describes access as “lifetime,” that means access for the life of the BattleBuddies platform, not the lifetime of an individual, and not a guarantee that the platform will operate indefinitely.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any VIP, partner, or promotional program. We may revoke a code or benefit obtained through fraud, misuse, breach of these Terms, or unauthorized distribution.

18. Cancellation and Refunds

18.1 How to Cancel

All subscriptions cancel anytime.

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time:

Through the cancellation controls in your account settings; or
By emailing support@battlebuddiesdating.com with the email address associated with your account and a clear request to cancel.

Cancellation must be reasonably easy to complete. We will not require you to call, explain your reasons, or complete unnecessary steps to cancel.

18.2 Effect of Cancellation

Cancellation stops future automatic renewals. Unless otherwise required by law, your paid access continues until the end of the current paid billing period, after which your account will revert to the FREE tier (unless you terminate your account).

Deleting the application or stopping use of BattleBuddies does not automatically cancel a subscription.

18.3 Refunds

Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated in an offer:

We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods;
We do not provide refunds for unused features or unused time; and
We do not provide refunds for failure to use the service.

Nothing in this section limits a refund or cancellation right that cannot lawfully be waived.

19. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate an account if:

You violate these Terms;
You provide false or misleading information;
Your military affiliation cannot be verified;
You misrepresent your rank, branch, unit, status, or service history;
You engage in fraud, abuse, harassment, threats, or exploitation;
You use the service for prohibited commercial sexual activity or trafficking;
You fail to pay amounts due;
Your conduct creates a safety, security, legal, or operational risk;
We are required to do so by law; or
We discontinue or materially change the service.

We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 months after providing advance notice where feasible.

We may preserve account information and User Content after termination where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or investigation.

Unless required by applicable law, termination does not entitle you to a refund.

20. Limitation of Liability

READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT LIMITS OUR LIABILITY TO YOU.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 13 Foxtrot, LLC and its owners, members, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for:

Interactions, communications, meetings, dates, relationships, or other conduct involving users;
Injury, death, emotional distress, harassment, abuse, assault, fraud, or other harm caused by a user;
User Content;
Reliance on a user’s identity, military status, rank, unit, or profile information;
Service interruptions, outages, errors, or data loss;
Unauthorized access to an account or personal information;
Lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities;
Indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages;
Military, disciplinary, administrative, career, or legal consequences arising from use of the service; or
Any other loss arising from use of or inability to use BattleBuddies.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or BattleBuddies will not exceed the greater of:

The total amount you paid to us for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
One hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

21. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 13 Foxtrot, LLC and its owners, members, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of or relating to:

Your use of BattleBuddies;
Your User Content;
Your violation of these Terms;
Your violation of applicable law, regulation, military rule, or court order;
Your violation of another person’s rights;
Your infringement of intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
Your fraud, abuse, harassment, threats, or misconduct;
Your misrepresentation of your identity, military status, rank, unit, component, or service history; or
Any dispute between you and another user.

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification. You agree to cooperate with our defense.

22. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

IMPORTANT — THIS SECTION AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. IT REQUIRES INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION OF MANY DISPUTES AND LIMITS CLASS ACTIONS. READ IT CAREFULLY.

22.1 Informal Resolution

Before starting arbitration or filing a court claim, you and BattleBuddies agree to try to resolve the dispute informally.

You must send a written notice describing:

Your name and account email;
The facts and legal basis of the dispute;
The relief requested; and
Any documents reasonably necessary to understand the issue.

We will have 30 days after receiving the notice to attempt to resolve the dispute.

22.2 Agreement to Arbitrate

If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, you and BattleBuddies agree that the dispute will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, as modified by these Terms.

The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this arbitration provision.

The arbitrator, and not a court, will decide disputes concerning the interpretation, enforceability, or formation of this arbitration agreement, except that a court may decide whether the class-action waiver or a claim falls within a legally protected exception.

The arbitration will be conducted by a single arbitrator. The hearing may occur by telephone, videoconference, written submissions, or at a reasonably convenient location, as determined under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules and applicable law.

22.3 Class Action Waiver

You and BattleBuddies agree that disputes may be brought only in an individual capacity.

Neither you nor BattleBuddies may:

Participate in a class action;
Bring a claim as a private attorney general;
Participate in a representative action;
Bring or participate in a class arbitration; or
Consolidate individual claims without the written consent of all parties.

If a court determines that applicable law prevents enforcement of this class-action waiver for a particular claim, that claim will proceed in court to the extent required by law, and any enforceable portion of the arbitration agreement will remain in effect.

22.4 Exceptions

This arbitration agreement does not prevent either party from:

Bringing an individual claim in small-claims court if the claim qualifies;
Seeking temporary, preliminary, or emergency injunctive relief to protect intellectual-property, privacy, security, or other rights;
Pursuing a claim that applicable law prohibits from being arbitrated;
Reporting matters to government, military, or law-enforcement authorities; or
Exercising rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

22.5 Arbitration Costs

The AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules govern filing fees and arbitration costs, subject to applicable law.

If required by applicable law or the AAA Consumer Due Process Protocol, BattleBuddies will pay or reimburse arbitration costs that cannot lawfully be imposed on the consumer.

22.6 Arbitration Opt-Out

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending an email to legal@battlebuddiesdating.com within 30 days after the date you first accept these Terms.

The email must:

Be sent from the email address associated with your account, if possible;
State that you are opting out of the arbitration provision;
Include your full name;
Include the email address associated with your account; and
Include the date you accepted these Terms.

An opt-out applies only to the person submitting it and does not affect any other part of these Terms.

23. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and any dispute not subject to arbitration are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent court proceedings are permitted or required, you and BattleBuddies agree to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in:

The state courts located in Lorain County, Ohio; and
The United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

You waive objections based on personal jurisdiction, venue, or inconvenient forum to the extent permitted by law.

24. Government Non-Endorsement

BattleBuddies is not affiliated with the U.S. Government, the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, or any branch or component of the U.S. Armed Forces.

BattleBuddies is not:

A government program;
A military benefit;
A VA benefit;
A government contractor service unless separately stated;
A military recruiting service; or
An official military communication channel.

Use of branch names, military terminology, insignia, unit designations, uniforms, or other military references does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, authorization, or approval by:

The United States Government;
The Department of Defense;
The Department of Veterans Affairs;
The U.S. Army;
The U.S. Navy;
The U.S. Marine Corps;
The U.S. Air Force;
The U.S. Space Force;
The U.S. Coast Guard;
The Army Reserve;
The Navy Reserve;
The Marine Corps Reserve;
The Air Force Reserve;
The Coast Guard Reserve;
The National Guard Bureau;
The Army National Guard;
The Air National Guard;
Any military command, installation, or unit; or
Any other government entity.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the law, the service, our business, or our policies.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice by email, in-app notification, website notice, or another reasonable method. Where feasible, material changes will be communicated at least 14 days before taking effect.

The “Last updated” date identifies the latest version.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using BattleBuddies and cancel any subscription. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

26. U.S. Privacy Rights

Our collection and use of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy.

26.1 Categories of Information We May Collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:

Identifiers, such as name, email address, phone number, username, and account credentials;
Account and profile information, such as age, gender, preferences, relationship goals, photographs, videos, biography, branch, duty status, rank, and service history;
Military verification information, including information submitted to or received from a verification provider;
Location information that you manually provide, such as city, state, ZIP code, duty station, or general location;
Communications, including messages, support requests, reports, and responses;
Transaction and subscription information, such as plan, billing status, payment-token information, and purchase history;
Device, browser, network, and usage information;
Information about how you interact with the service;
Inferences about preferences, interests, compatibility, and service use; and
Other information you choose to provide.

We may use this information to:

Create and administer accounts;
Verify eligibility and military affiliation;
Operate matching, messaging, search, and safety features;
Process subscriptions and payments;
Communicate with users;
Send SMS notifications where consent has been provided;
Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
Moderate content and enforce these Terms;
Improve and personalize the service;
Comply with law and respond to lawful requests; and
Create aggregated or anonymized information.

26.2 State Privacy Rights

Where applicable, residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights that include:

The right to know or access personal information collected about them;
The right to request correction of inaccurate information;
The right to request deletion of personal information;
The right to obtain a portable copy of certain information;
The right to opt out of certain targeted advertising, profiling, sale, or sharing activities;
The right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;
The right to appeal a denied privacy request; and
The right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

We do not sell personal information for money. If our activities are considered “sharing,” “selling,” targeted advertising, or a similar regulated activity under a particular state law, we will provide the opt-out rights and mechanisms required by that law.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

27. Non-U.S. Users and Data Protection

The Service is offered only to residents of the United States and is not directed to, or intended for, individuals outside the United States. We do not represent that the Service or our data practices comply with the data-protection laws of other jurisdictions.

We may decline, suspend, or terminate accounts that do not meet the United States residency requirement.

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk. You are responsible for complying with any local laws that may apply to your access or use of the Service.

Personal information is processed and stored in the United States. Data-protection and privacy laws in the United States may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States.

Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have under mandatory data-protection law that applies to you, to the extent that law cannot be waived by agreement.

28. Digital Millennium Copyright Act

BattleBuddies respects intellectual-property rights and responds to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512.

28.2 Copyright Takedown Notice

A written notice of claimed infringement should include:

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative;
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on BattleBuddies;
Contact information for the complaining party, including name, address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act for the copyright owner.

A knowingly materially false claim may result in liability under applicable law.

28.3 Response to Valid Notice

After receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the affected user.

We may also terminate or restrict an account under our repeat-infringer policy.

28.4 Counter-Notification

If you believe your material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to the designated agent containing:

Your physical or electronic signature;
Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal;
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification;
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, the federal district in which BattleBuddies is located; and
A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person’s agent.

After receiving a valid counter-notification, we may provide it to the original complaining party. We may restore the material within the time required by the DMCA unless the complaining party notifies us that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

28.5 Repeat Infringers

We may terminate accounts or access for users who are repeat copyright infringers or who otherwise repeatedly violate intellectual-property rights.

We may also terminate an account after a single incident where circumstances warrant, including deliberate infringement, fraud, impersonation, or other serious misconduct.

29. SMS and Text Messaging

BattleBuddies may offer optional SMS notifications, including:

New match alerts;
New message alerts;
Daily match digests;
Account or security notifications; and
Other service-related notifications identified at opt-in.

By providing your mobile number and affirmatively opting in to SMS messages, you provide express prior written consent for BattleBuddies and its service providers to send text messages to that number using an automatic telephone dialing system, where applicable.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing a subscription or using BattleBuddies.

You may use BattleBuddies without opting in to SMS messages, although certain notifications may not be delivered by text.

29.2 Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on your activity and notification settings.

Message and data rates may apply.

Your wireless carrier may charge fees for incoming or outgoing messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

29.3 Opting Out

You may withdraw SMS consent at any time by:

Replying STOP to a BattleBuddies text;
Updating your notification settings;
Contacting support@battlebuddiesdating.com; or
Using another reasonable method identified in the message or Privacy Policy.

After you send STOP, you may receive one confirmation message. You will no longer receive SMS messages covered by your opt-out, except as permitted or required by law.

29.4 Help

29.5 Privacy

Information collected through SMS enrollment and use is handled according to the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided, or that you have authorization to provide consent for that number.

30. Electronic Communications and Signatures

By using BattleBuddies, you consent to receive communications electronically, including:

Account notices;
Security alerts;
Transaction confirmations;
Subscription and renewal notices;
Cancellation confirmations;
Policy updates;
Customer-service communications;
Legal notices; and
Other communications related to the service.

Communications may be sent by email, in-app notification, text message where separately authorized, or website posting.

You agree that electronic notices, records, agreements, disclosures, and signatures satisfy legal writing and signature requirements to the extent permitted by the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act and applicable law.

You may withdraw consent to electronic communications by contacting support@battlebuddiesdating.com. Withdrawal may require termination of your account because electronic communications are necessary to operate the service.

You must maintain a current email address and other contact information in your account.

You are responsible for having the hardware, software, internet connection, and email access necessary to receive and retain electronic records.

31. Notices and Legal Notices

31.1 Notices to BattleBuddies

Legal notices must be sent by personal delivery, nationally recognized overnight courier, or certified U.S. mail to:

In-app notification;
Text message where you have consented;
Posting on BattleBuddiesDating.com; or
Other reasonable electronic means.

A notice is effective when sent, posted, or otherwise delivered, unless applicable law requires a different timing rule.

32. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

If a provision cannot be enforced in a particular jurisdiction, it may be severed or limited only in that jurisdiction without affecting its enforceability elsewhere.

33. Entire Agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Safety Policy, the Community Guidelines, applicable subscription disclosures, and any additional terms expressly incorporated by reference constitute the entire agreement between you and BattleBuddies concerning the service.

They replace all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings concerning the service, except for written agreements separately signed by 13 Foxtrot, LLC.

34. Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, delegate, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without your consent in connection with:

A merger;
An acquisition;
A corporate restructuring;
A sale of assets;
A change of control;
A financing transaction; or
Another lawful business transaction.

35. Waiver

Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce that provision later.

A waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of 13 Foxtrot, LLC to be effective.

36. No Third-Party Beneficiaries

These Terms do not create rights for any third party.

Except as expressly stated, no person who is not a party to these Terms may enforce any provision of these Terms.

37. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delay, interruption, failure, or inability to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:

Natural disasters;
Severe weather;
Fire;
Flood;
Epidemic or pandemic;
War;
Terrorism;
Civil unrest;
Government action;
Military action;
Labor disputes;
Internet or telecommunications failures;
Cloud-service or hosting failures;
Cyberattacks;
Utility failures;
Supply-chain disruptions; or
Other events beyond our reasonable control.

This section does not excuse payment obligations for services already provided.

38. Survival

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions concerning:

User Content;
Intellectual property;
Payments owed;
Disclaimers;
Limitation of liability;
Indemnification;
Dispute resolution;
Arbitration;
Governing law;
Privacy and data retention;
Notices; and
Interpretation and enforcement.
